Radio Cairo is an Egyptian state-owned radio station with international coverage. It was founded in 19531. It played a significant role in the decolonization process in the 1950s and 1960s2. It broadcasts in Afar, Albanian, German, Amharic, English, Arabic, Dari, Spanish, French, Hausa, Indonesian, Italian, Urdu, Uzbek, Persian, Portuguese, Somali, Swahili1,3. It covers part of the planet: Africa, Americas, Asia, Western Europe and the Middle East1.
