Do you remember RX for SWL in the past ? Kenwood R5000, Icom R75, Yaesu FRG-100. Now these brands dont make anymore SWL receivers. But you can listen on a tranceiver for amateur radio. I think my Kenwood R5000 buy 30 years ago was more expensive than this nice Yaesu FT-710 who receive LW, MW, SW and also 6 meter and 70 centimeter. 30 years ago technologie to build a receiver was not good like this SDR TX-RX. With a receiver like this you can plug a very long wire. This kind of TX is build to work on very big antennas like Yagi, Quad, etc. I know for some places in the world 1000 US $ is a big money, but if you are in Europe, North America, and some places in Asia and the reste of the world and if you keep this receiver for 20 or 30 years its OK !!! If you can by cash now for 1000 US $ and you will use it as a receiver for 30 years its like you will spend only 3 US $ every month !!! I think its the price to drink a beer in a bar in Paris...And a box of 20 cigarettes is 12 US $ in France. So dont smoke and drink, SWL is better...
Price in Europe is around 1200 Euros
1000 US $ in USA
To improve the integration into the radio station, the FT-710 offers the possibility to connect an external monitor (DVI-D). In addition to the two USB ports (1x type A, 1x type B), there is also a port for network control. An SD memory card remembers all settings, memory contents and also records QSOs at the touch of a button. Firmare updates are also carried out very conveniently and securely via the SD card.
Like the SSM-75E, the SP-40 loudspeaker is included in the scope of delivery.
